That weird, tall guy with the deafening bass and the strange vocals is in the kitchen…and he’s-a cookin’ a-something up.
The logo for this new project looks a little Steal-Your-Face-esque, but I sincerely doubt Claypool will either play full-time with Phil Lesh, wash Bobby’s short shorts on the road or resurrect the Nine-Fingered God of Chirpy Chirp Geetarsmanship. Might we see a collaboration with everyone’s favorite monkey, Mickey Hart? We just might. Perhaps we’ll find out what’s in store on May 25th, when this Electric Apricot unit is scheduled to play at the Sweetwater in California.
In the meantime, Les has been added to a few shows on the Zooma Tour this summer, so check your local listings. Stay tuned for more news from the Colonel…
