Bon Iver will be marking the 10 year anniversary of his breakthrough debut, For Emma, Forever Ago, with a concert performing a “salute” to the songs he released as part of that LP.
This special evening, dubbed FOR EMMA, TEN YEAR, will offer a salute to the songs that introduced Bon Iver to the world a decade ago. Featuring a number of musical guests old and new, the performance is set to mark a singular experience of Bon Iver’s work – a unique presentation of For Emma, Forever Ago’s remarkable sound that continues to captivate listeners to this day.
Justin Vernon and crew will set up at BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, WI on Saturday, February 17, 2018 to celebrate the event. Tickets go on sale this week here.
There is also a full reissue coming for the vinyl heads.
Additionally, Bon Iver and Jagjaguwar have announced a limited edition reissue of the classic For Emma, Forever Ago on both CD and LP. The reissue includes new artwork and a reflective, in-depth essay written by longtime Bon Iver friend and collaborator, Trever Hagen. The reissue will be available worldwide on February 16, 2018 exclusively through boniver.org and at the FOR EMMA, TEN YEAR merch table.
