Béla Fleck & The Flecktones have announced North American tour dates for their 30th anniversary along with a very special performance Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on May 30th.
This performance will mark the first time that pianist Howard Levy and horn player Jeff Coffin – former Flecktones member, currently part of the Dave Matthews Band – will be performing together along with The Flecktones.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Flecktones and this very special show in Colorado. I can’t wait to dust off some of the music we made together. It’s like a family reunion,” said Coffin.
Also appearing at the inaugural Bela Fleck & The Flecktones: Friends & Family show will be Jerry Douglas, Abigail Washburn, and the Colorado Symphony.
The band has released a live video performance of their song, “Sex in a Pan” at the Capitol Theatre to commemorate the announcement of the tour (watch below).
