Beastie Boys are readying the release of their Beastie Boys Story documentary with Spike Jonze, and it’s always a welcome thing to see in my world when new media is flowing from these geniuses.
At first we saw some newly remastered HD videos appearing on their YouTube channel, including one of my favorite grooves off Ill Communication, “Ricky’s Theme,” which has the special pleasure of being the first song I ever “chose” to represent me in a skateboarding video.

They’ve also got a clean version of “Alive” uploaded which was off the late era anthology release, The Sounds of Science.
