Arcade Fire Welcoming Devo, Television As Openers on Final Leg of 2014 Tour

Arcade Fire announced late last week that they were bringing along some more special guest openers for the shows on their upcoming final leg of their summer tour. Joining them at Shoreline Amphitheater when they return stateside after playing Fuji Rock Festival in Japan will be Devo, who will also be joining them in Chicago at the United Center. The other big reveal is that seminal rockers Television will be reuniting to play as openers at the third night of the Barclay’s Center run in Brooklyn at the end of August.

I love how they brought along Dan Deacon as well and slot him in where he’s best; he’ll also be coming along for the final leg.

As was the case during Arcade Fire’s first North American tour leg, Dan Deacon will be hosting between-sets dance parties guaranteed to get those feet warmed up for the main event. The festivities will be further expanded in Los Angeles for the band’s two nights at The Forum where Steve Mackey of Pulp will provide an after-show DJ set.
