Grammy winners, Arcade Fire are reportedly in New York City hard at work on their fourth LP due who knows when — but we hope soon. On Tuesday morning, James Murphy’s DFA Studios tweeted out “Arcade Fire STILL with us at DFA… This is going to be one great sounding album!”, confirming the news. Murphy has already stated his involvement on a few tracks so this could mean a polishing of songs or something entirely new. Arcade Fire played a short set last month at the Kanpe Kanaval festival that raised funds for Haiti. The band’s set unfortunately didn’t have any of the highly secretive new songs. We should also note that Arcade Fire’s Régine Chassagne and husband Win Butler are having a baby so that should delay any ideas of an Arcade Fire tour in the near future.
