Pretty psyched to see some new news dropping out of the Bay Area jazz duo, Amendola Vs. Blades. A new album called Everybody Wins will be released this upcoming October 11 via Royal Potato Family, and the duo will be performing along the West Coast this upcoming Fall. Don’t miss their Halloween run at SFJazz, that’ll be a fun one.
As for the new LP, you’ve got Wil Blades on Hammond organ and clavinet and Scott Amendola behind the drums, and they’ve gotten contributions from guitarist Jeff Parker (Tortoise), saxophonist Skerik (Les Claypool, Garage A Trois), percussionist Cyro Baptista (Herbie Hancock, Trey Anastasio), and keyboardist Rob Burger (Tin Hat Trio, Laurie Anderson).
