“This year’s annual Intonation (IMF), scheduled for June 24 and 25, 2006 in ’s Union Park, has nearly completed its unique . Added to Sunday’s bill are seminal rock pioneers Blue Cheer, playing their first show in 25 years, and former Guided By Voices frontman Robert Pollard.

Blue Cheer, the band widely credited “inventing” hard rock, will make their first Chicago appearance since 1971 on Sunday, joining an impressive headlined by VICE artist . Also appearing on the ’s second day is Robert Pollard, who released his first post-GBV album From A Compound Eye to rapturous acclaim earlier this year. Other acts added to Sunday are the astonishing , band , Chicago MC , who won a Grammy for co-writing “Jesus Walks” , and local hero Bill Dolan (5ive Style, ), playing with Matt Lux (Isotope 217) and John Herndon ().
