Kids That Fly Release “See You Dancing,” a High-Energy, Emotion-Driven Alt-Rock Anthem
Kids That Fly continue to build their sound with their latest single which artfully fuses emotional narrative and high energy alt-rock production. “See You Dancing” is about nostalgia and anxiety and how music can change your point of view when you’re in a dark place. This release also continues the band’s steamrolling trajectory and their relationship with Giant Music who are helping them reach wider audiences.
In a press release, Kids That Fly’s management announced that “See You Dancing” was released on May 15 via Giant Music.
“See You Dancing” delivers another emotionally charged anthem from a band quickly becoming one of the most exciting young acts emerging from the East Coast rock scene. Built around soaring melodies, explosive guitars, and the kind of emotional urgency that has become synonymous with the band’s live performances, “See You Dancing” captures the tension between nostalgia, youth, and the fleeting moments that somehow stay with you forever.
Equal parts cinematic and cathartic, the track continues Kids That Fly’s evolution into a modern alternative rock band with both arena-sized instincts and deeply personal storytelling.

“This song is about an anxious moment and how good music can pull you out of it. Supertramp was the conduit for that; the band has been a musical touchstone for all of us lately — hence the mention,” says the band, referring to the direct mention of Supertramp in the song. “We’re always aiming for a nostalgic sound, but even from the demo, this one had a really special feel to it, with a loft in the guitars and a little heartbreak sewn in.”
“Kids That Fly have something you can’t manufacture,” says Matt LaMotte of Giant Music. “There’s an honesty, charisma, and emotional electricity to what they do that immediately cuts through. ‘See You Dancing’ feels like the kind of song that introduces a band to a much bigger audience, and we believe they’re only scratching the surface of what’s ahead.”
Formed in Connecticut and shaped by years of relentless touring, house shows, and late-night recording sessions between New York, Los Angeles, and their home state, Kids That Fly have steadily built a reputation for turning raw emotion into massive hooks — channeling influences ranging from The Strokes and The 1975 to classic East Coast rock energy.
The release also marks another major moment in the band’s growing partnership with Giant Music, who signed the group as part of the label’s expanding focus on breakout alternative talent.
Over the past year, Kids That Fly have quietly built serious momentum both online and on stage — earning attention for their explosive live shows, emotionally resonant songwriting, and a growing fanbase drawn to the band’s balance of indie cool and unapologetic rock energy.
“See You Dancing” arrived May 15 on all streaming platforms.
