Jada Kingdom maintains her upward momentum with “Still Searching,” offering a contemplative visual and a clear homage to Damian Marley’s style. The release comes amidst a busy schedule of new music, live dates and critical praise that showcase her evolution. It serves as a prelude to an exploration of the intent and impact of her latest chapter.

According to a press release from Jada’s management, “Still Searching” is meant to be more than a visual: it stands as a deliberate homage to Damian Marley, reworking the DNA of his 2001 classic through Jada’s lens of confidence, femininity, and control.

The new video follows a strong creative run. Last month, Jada dropped New Religion, a four-track EP featuring Foggieraw, which explored romance, desire, and emotional study from a more intimate lens. It marked a distinct lane from Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World, continuing her pattern of shifting perspectives while expanding her sonic and thematic range without losing her core voice.

That momentum has also carried into the live space. She recently appeared at Barbados Reggae Weekend Festival, brought out by Dancehall Heavyweight Popcaan, and is set to perform next month at Citi Splash in London on May 25..

Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World has also earned widespread critical acclaim across BillboardNMEWonderlandDancehall MagWorld Music Views, and more.

Billboard highlighted standout “Don’t Talk To Me,” praising Di Genius’ production and Jada’s delivery, noting the track continues “the legacy of women in dancehall assuming positions of power and control in their own sex-minded anthems.”

World Music Views described the EP as “capturing an artist who understands the systems around her, moving through money, desire, and power on her own terms.”

Additional praise has underscored the project’s cultural and artistic weight. The Source highlighted the release as a bold statement, while Wonderland noted that Jada “continues to set the standard for the genre,” calling the EP vibrant, sharply produced, and rooted in her exploration of womanhood and storytelling, with “Still Searching” standing out as a defining moment. NME spotlighted “Ntn But Pum Pum” as a Best New Track, reinforcing her ability to merge wit, confidence, and crossover appeal. Meanwhile, Dancehall Mag described the project as “deliberate, controlled, and culturally locked in. The kind of project that doesn’t beg for attention yet commands it.”

About Jada Kingdom

Jada Kingdom is a critically acclaimed Jamaican recording artist carving out a sound that feels both global and entirely her own. Shaped by the artists she grew up listening to and coming of age in the early 2000s with unlimited access to music from around the world, Jada draws inspiration across eras, cultures, and genres. Her music lives at the intersection of Dancehall, Pop, and R&B, while weaving in elements of Jazz, Trap, Reggae, and more, resulting in a genre-fluid style that resists easy categorization.

Rather than fitting neatly into a single lane, Jada is actively building something new. Her music reflects both her Jamaican roots and her global outlook, striking a balance between innovation and connection. She releases records that speak to different moods and moments, from songs meant to be felt quietly, to high-energy tracks charged with attitude, to records designed to move crowds at Kingston’s most vibrant street parties. This versatility has allowed her to resonate both locally and internationally, even as she continues to challenge traditional expectations of what a Jamaican artist should sound like.

Born and raised in the colorful yet challenging neighborhood of 7 Mile Bull Bay (Gold Shore Lane) on the east side of Kingston, Jamaica, Jada’s early life was shaped by resilience. Growing up in a modest two-bedroom home with her mother and two siblings, she found comfort in family despite the obstacles around her. By the age of eight, Jada had already begun writing poetry, revealing an early depth of creativity that would later define her artistry. Influenced by legends such as Nina Simone, Diana King, Sade, Minnie Riperton, and Amy Winehouse, she absorbed the emotion, storytelling, and musicality that continue to inform her sound today.

In 2017, Jada made her official debut with the single “Love Situations,” but it was the breakout hit “Banana” that propelled her onto the international stage, amassing over 6 million Spotify streams and 4 million YouTube views. She went on to release two standout projects, E-Syde Queen (The Twinkle Playlist) #Snacksize (2020) and New Motion (2022), both showcasing her evolving sound and fearless approach to genre.

Now entering her next chapter, Jada Kingdom is preparing to release her highly anticipated EP, Just A Girl In A Money Man’s World, a project poised to impact not only the global musical landscape but broader cultural conversations as well. Through sharp observation, witty sarcasm, and fearless honesty Jada speaks directly to the realities women are subjected to in a so-called “man’s world,” confronting double standards and unfair expectations with confidence and clarity. These songs are built to stand as anthems, unapologetic declarations of self-worth and power that invite listeners to reclaim their voice, challenge the status quo, and move through the world on their own terms.

Today, Jada Kingdom stands at the forefront of global music. She has accumulated over 150 million streams on Spotify, 100 million streams on Apple Music, and more than 200 million views on YouTube, a testament to her magnetic presence and undeniable star power. Her collaborations with artists such as John Legend, Popcaan, Vybz Kartel, Davido, Skillibeng, and Aluna further underscore her global reach. Celebrated by publications including The FADER, Rolling Stone, Teen Vogue, and Billboard, Jada Kingdom is not simply making music. She is shaping culture, redefining boundaries, and building a legacy on her own terms.
