Before blogs, a large majority of my time spent online was spent on forums. Before social networking cropped up as the next best thing since sliced bread, I was interacting with other users in forums. Music forums (Phantasy Tour). Tech forums (Neowin). Well, those… and Yahoo Euchre.
I think that’s why I decided that the Live Music Blog should get some forums going. It just seems logical at this point.
That being said, I’ve setup the Live Music Blog forums using Vanilla, “…an open-source, standards-compliant, multi-lingual, fully extensible discussion forum for the web.” I’m no sure if anyone actually wants to sign up for another forum — I mean, you’ve probably got more important s*** to do — but it could be fun if the loyal readers want a place to hang out during their work day.
Drum-roll, please…
If you’d ever like to submit something to Live Music Blog, go the forums, sign up, and post a message under the “Stuff the Live Music Blog should know about” Submissions category. If it’s good or it’s something that requires some more thought and follow-up, I’ll try and get that up on the main page.
Sound good?
Also — the forums are going to serve as a place for positivity only. If you want to flame people and get all nasty, you will be banned. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Consider yourself warned.
