City Bisco is going down this weekend at the Mann Center in Philadelphia. The new event is a 2-day multi-stage festival curated by The Disco Biscuits, Philly-natives themselves. The stacked lineup includes:
Diplo // RJD2 // A-Trak // Paper Diamond // Papadosio // Tipper // Ott and the All Seeing I (Live Band) // The Manhattan Project // Brothers Past // Nadis Warriors // Alpha Data and of course the host The Disco Biscuits throwing down two massive shows.
Supporting acts like RJD2 and Diplo are sure to set the roof on fire! RJD2 has rich history of instrumental hip hop and has produced tracks for many prominent rappers and is singing and playing instruments these days on a majority of tracks.
Notably, this is Papadosio’s only stop in Philly on their fall tour and with a fan base that grows by the dozens each day this one will surely be an extra-enthused set both on the stage and in the crowd. A rarity to many events like this – Ott will be in town, an undoubtedly big attraction for many fans attending this year’s event.
Shawn Drogan and Charlie Lindner of The Manhattan Project are getting serious hype and are sure to put on a favorable show at City Bisco. Since exploding onto the scene in 2010, The Manhattan Project has become one of the fastest growing live electronic duos in the northeast. Playing shows with bands like nationally-touring acts like Lotus, Conspirator and BioDiesel, they’ve gained national attention and become an act to watch in 2012 and beyond. Drawing influences from house, dub, drum-n-bass, techno and lounge, The Manhattan Project bring sophistication to the dance floor with their original compositions, high energy beats and mind-melting textures.
Folks in the Tri-State area should get off the couch and head down to Philly for this two-day stacked event. The Disco Biscuits have been ecstatic about this event since Camp Bisco this past July. The weather is looking great, the bands are feeling it, and the people are ready to get down! See ya there!
