Beale Street Music Festival 2013 Expected Lineup (via Festival Outlook)

UPDATE: 12/12/12 @ 4:35 pm CST
“As organizers of the Beale Street Music Festival we are hopeful that The Black Crowes will perform at the 2013 Beale Street Music Festival as a one off event based on their spectacular performances in the past and their history with the Beale Street Music Festival. However, the information posted on [LIVE MUSIC BLOG] related to The Black Crowes under the 2013 Beale Street Music Festival is incorrect and we regret any confusion the previous posting may have caused.”

Oh, if only Johnny Winter would return! He used to be a staple. Our classic Bluesmen are needed to pass on the baton to the coming generation.
WHAT ??? This line up stinks !!! These are the people that would show up on if you put a voice mail machine…..time to get rid of this whole MIM whores…..people that don’t have a clue on modern music, but are worried more about their friends , that have a area at the BBQ fest to act like drunken fools…..again…just reminds everybody that the Memphis Powers That Be, really are still back in the 1950s’… or are these people that copy their children so they look cool…..imo….
Anyone hoping QotSA will come?!
Hall and Oates is playing! EVIDENCE:http://www.hallandoates.com/tour.html?dc_id=582
anyone who is saying that Patty Smith Dewight Yoakam Lucero and Government muel are bad prospects for Memphis in May lineup is an idiot who needs to re-aquaint themselves with music. I mean someone was complaining because fall out boy wasnt listed. I’d be complaining if they were listed because they blow.
They f***ing suck
Ah. they’ve gotten so lame. The kids don’t have money. Adults do. But hey just keep booking junk. I haven’t been there for a few years now. Oh well.
Why can’t you guys pull in some of the truly classic rock bands that are still touring on a regular basis ??? Would it kill the BSMF to sign on the likes of Chicago, Doobie Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Atlanta Rhythm Section, George Thorogood and the Destroyers, Charlie Daniels, Jimmy Hall and Wet Willie ??? I live in Naples, Italy and have flown in every year for the past four years with my wife to see the New Orleans Jazz Festival and the BSMF. If it does not get any better than this, we will be attending in New Orleans and then heading home. Would certainly miss seeing Will Tucker though……..
I agree with you. I won’t attend this year if this is the projected line up. I have spoke to a lot of people who feel the same way. They really need to have some 80’s music or even some Motown. There needs to be a better mix.
Get Kendrick Lamar!
Black Crowes and Widespread are playing nearby at Wakarusa on the Pigtrail in the Ozarks. Huge country fest at same location the weekend before with Toby Kieth headlining. Salaries keeps growing and it’s an incredible setting I’m the middle of the National Forest.
Hoping to see Fall Out Boy back in Memphis now that they’re back and fresh.
Me too! Praying they come back, I missed them the first time.
I dare you guys to top Herbie Hancock.
Alice in Chains won’t be there. They are playing the Carolina Rebellion in Charlotte that weekend.
They play Saturday in NC, so it is still plausible for them to headline Sunday in Memphis. Just a thought.
It’s rumors, RdHdhz. Until the actual lineup comes out, I suggest you shut the f*** up
CALL NEW ORLEANS…they managed to get some fantastic artist for JAZZ FEST. Maybe they could give y’all some phone numbers. These artists will be in the area, so you might could convince them to drive north on I-55; add some interest to this pitiful line-up.
line up looking good!
