Well, it's been a long week of recovering from "festival flu" after just two days at Bumbershoot 2010; it was so bad that we couldn't get out of bed Monday morning to catch the last day of the festival. The Budos Band Bumbershoot 2010, Day One.... First stop for the day was the KEXP in-studio session with The Budos Band, playing a number of tracks from their new Budos Band III album. Who doesn't love Labor Day Weekend? One last three-day weekend to close out the summer months and music to see across the country: the inaugural North Coast Music Festival in Chicago, Jazz Aspen Snowmass in Aspen, FYF Fest in Los Angeles, plenty of East Coast stuff that I'm not even aware of, and last but not least, Bumbershoot Festival...

Unlike Bumbershoot 2008, which was a gorgeous 70-degrees-and-sparsely-cloudy weekend, Bumbershoot 2009 was a much more Seattlesque weekend.  The Yeah Yeah Yeahs kicked off our Sunday afternoon, but between the ugly weather and a lackluster crowd, the show never really took off.  I have to admit that I'm only a fan of four or five of the band's "bigger" songs,...
