The final night on the first leg of Phish Tour 2009 has just started at Alpine Valley in East Troy, WI. The band opens with “Brother,” and the next text I got said “Strange opener.” I’ll say.
I still haven’t listened to last night yet but I was told the “Maze” was a monster.

does anyone have a photo of Trey jamming out his five-neck guitar during the most insane Frankenstein I’ve ever seen?
There are some vids on YouTube featuring it… That said, Page bought it at my store the day of their show at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, so I’ve got some close ups of the guitar itself you might dig.

Concert was overall a big disappointment for me and the other loyal Phans I was with! Not what we expected for the last show for about a month!!!

First night looks like it rained supreme. Brother, Fbitch, MWSIY > avena>MWSIY pretty tight.. Frankenstein closer, top shelf. Horse, Silent, Divided Sky always always welcomed, Slave, BORW also appreciated…..
HOWEVER after 15 yrs and dozens and dozens of shows a Ghost > Lizards, YEM > NICU> Caspian, is one of the sickest stretches I’ve witnessed.
