Move Me Brightly: TRI Studios to Webcast 70th Birthday Tribute for Jerry Garcia, Guests Galore

In honor of what would be ’s 70th Birthday, will be putting on an event called “” and streaming it for free on August 3rd on their website. The event will feature a who’s who of musicians including Bob “Ratdog” Weir and Phish’s Mike “Cactus” Gordon. Read on for the full lineup…

Other guests so far include, Furthur’s drum extraordinare , Up and coming psych-folk singer Jonathan Wilson, of the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, LMB favorite, of The Yellowbirds along with his band mate Josh Kaufman, Vampire Weekend’s , Craig Finn and Tad Kubler of the Hold Steady, songwriters Cass McCombs and , Jeff Chimenti, Harper Simon, and former Dead/Garcia Band vocalist Donna Jean Godchaux. Take a breath.

The event will be emceed by Luke Wilson (“Bottle Rocket”, “Royal Tenenbaums”) and feature rare concert footage of Garcia with tributes from Carlos Santana and David Crosby.

Again, the event happens Live from in San Rafael, CA. You can watch online, August 3rd at 6:30pm PST. Should be an exciting all-star event honoring the man who is largely responsible for our great music scene today.
