Big fan of this talk so I thought I’d share it: Mark Ronson is the producer that came into most people’s collective conscious right around the time of Amy Winehouse breaking through on her debut, and in this TED talk he takes on anyone that thinks sampling is “cheating” musically and details out why sampling has shaped pop culture and that the “dam has already burst” for anyone that thinks it’s not valid.
