Portugal. The Man are some of the hardest working musicians of the last few years. They’ve released a new album almost every year dating back to 2006 (last year being the exception) and this year will be no different. The band’s eighth LP will be released in May (pre-order on iTunes) on Atlantic Records and of course produced by Danger Mouse. The band just released the awesome title-track, “Evil Friends” in an official music video that admittedly scared us (in a good way) on our first viewing.
In a recent interview from Portugal’s Tumblr Page, bassist Zachary Carothers said the new album was heavily influenced by Pink Floyd and Dark Side of the Moon. We can definitely see the similarities. Check it out.
