Ben Folds took the social networks by storm a few weeks back when, at his show in Charlotte, NC, he performed a live impersonation of a certain piano man named Merton who would perform for guests on Chatroulette. The resulting video was hilarious.

What I love about this is that it seems so obvious and Ben Folds beat everyone else to the punch; now, you simply can’t venture down this path as an artist without being compared to the guy who did it first. For a while, there were some rumors floating around that Ben Folds was Merton himself, but he just set the record straight officially. Mashable was all over this story as well.
