After Green Day had to abdicate their headlining Saturday night slot at this year’s Voodoo Experience, the festival decided to up the ante and reel in Metallica to close down Day Two at the annual New Orleans fall festival freak fest. The heavy metal legends closed down the festivities in City Park and notably included a brief interlude/acknowledgement to Green Day during the two-and-a-half-hour set.
