There was some great new music released this past Tuesday, but the only album I’ve really given a repeat listen to is the new one from Arcade Fire, Reflektor. Personally I think it’s their strongest work to date, likely because I’m a big fan of the grooves on this compared to the anthemic rock that seemed to permeate their other discs.
Easily my favorite track on the album, “Flashbulb Eyes”, which you can see in the video below from one of their secret shows that popped up in Brooklyn. The lights. The sample riding behind the band. Regine dancing. This is going to be a bigger track than the 2:42 track length will allow for.
