Tom Hamilton and his American Babies are heading back out on tour this fall, kicking things off this Friday at the Box in Charlottesville, VA. They’ll be doing a number of September/October dates up and down the East Coast, including a couple opening slots for both Bruce Hornsby and Felice Brothers. In prep for their East Coast jaunt, they’ve released a video for “Joeline” (below) which is easily one of my favorite tracks from their latest album Flawed Logic.
I last caught American Babies in April at the Mercury Lounge, where they ripped through highlights from their last two albums as well as the entire “Abbey Road Suite” from the second half of the Beatles’ classic album. It was definitely a solid night of roots-tinged rock and Americana, and I’m really hoping I can catch them again at one of their NYC gigs in October. Check it…
