Widespread Panic finished off their night two at their Panic en la Playa Ocho last night with a compact first set, long second set and a Tom Petty cover to close the show. Hear a version of “Smokestack Lightning” below and check back later for videos from the show.
We’ll be following along with the setlists as they roll in this weekend and posting any solid tweets/’grams as people post them between rockin’ the band’s four full shows while they’re down in Mexico.
On night one the band welcomed Ivan Neville to a few of the jams in the first set, including a cover of the Curtis Mayfield classic “Pusherman” and then the return to a Widespread Panic jam “You Should Be Glad”. The encore kicked off with a rockin’ joyous cover of The Band classic “Ophelia”, so it’s likely the fans are in store for another treat tonight.
