Widespread Panic just finished up their first night at their Panic en la Playa Ocho. We’ll be following along with the setlists as they roll in this weekend and posting any solid tweets/’grams as people post them between rockin’. The band is playing four full shows while they’re at the the resort, and they’ve got their friends North Mississippi Allstars, Bonerama, Bloodkin and Kalu and the Electric Joint all joining them for shows in between the W S M F P.
Fans got a chance to line up a bit early today and hear the band sound-checking (great photo by Josh below). And the band ended up welcoming Ivan Neville to a few of the jams in the first set, including a cover of the Curtis Mayfield classic “Pusherman” and then the WSP jam “You Should Be Glad”. The band also kicked off the encore with a cover of The Band classic “Ophelia”. Check out the setlist below.
