sts9 : vic theater : september 3, 2004

last night’s sound tribe sector 9 show was fun. that is, of course, once they actually started to play. the venue and tickets said “doors: 6:30 p.m. ; show: 7:30 p.m.” now i ask you…when would this make you think a good time to show up would be? point of the story is, the band had a dj open up for them. the dj didn’t even start until 8:00 p.m. sts9 didn’t start until 10:00 p.m. the show was good but very similar to the show earlier in the year at the vic on april 2, 2004. therefore, i was slightly disappointed. i had a good time. i just wanted to hear some songs that i haven’t heard them play before. they did bust out some new stuff to open, with some old songs slightly reconstructed (updates to follow once the setlist is posted). but it just wasn’t happening for me last night.
