Bassnectar ended his NVSB tour at San Francisco’s Bill Graham this past Saturday to a packed house. With GRiZ opening the night to some serious funk, the room was ready to rage with Lorin correct. Throughout the night he ripped through his new album as well as some classics like “Wildstyle Method,” “Upside Down,” and a killer ending of the night to “Immigraniada (Bassnectar Remix).” His album promises noise vs. beauty quite literally, and Bassnectar does an incredible job keeping that balance on this tour. Some serious hip-hop mashups over roaring bass was counterpointed by breakdowns into The Zombies “Time of the Season.” Plus a balloon drop and giant inflatable duck crowd surfing never hurt.
