Phish played their thirteenth and final night of The Baker’s Dozen run delivering on the theme of GLAZED, sorta a nod to how everyone was probably feeling on the final night.
This band really kept up the intensity, though, delivering perhaps one of the standout moments from the run with a “Most Events Aren’t Planned” debut, a throwback to Page’s side project, Vida Blue. Altogether, the band delivered a confident two-set show with some of the leftover songs from the run, including a fun “Sanity”, “You Enjoy Myself” and “Loving Cup”. Plus, before the encore, a banner was raised commemorating the shows and the band launched into “On the Road Again” while emotionally singing their way through the song.
On the road again
Just can’t wait to get on the road again
The life I love is making music with my friends
At that point it was hard not to be fully choked up appreciating the multitude of what the band had just accomplished.
