Phish returned to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas this year with the momentum of an incredible Summer Tour and an even more incredible Fall Tour. And somehow they managed to just keep one-upping themselves as the year progressed. The four-night Halloween 2021 Run altogether topped anything they had done earlier in the season, another run of shows punctuated by themes (Numbers! Animals! Tweezer!) and incredible playing throughout.
It seems there’s still a mixed opinion across the online chatter on whether or not Sci-Fi Soldier will hold up as a set with the same level of esteem that the rest of the shows had, but you can never deny that Phish isn’t out there being their authentically silly selves complete with a comic book story about a futuristic band from the year 4680.
