On the night before Thanksgiving, Mike Gordon and his five-piece band rolled into Buffalo, NY for a stop at the Town Ballroom.
As far as small scale music venues go, the Town Ballroom has always been one of the better places to see a show. The design of the room with it’s tiered levels and numerous sight lines creates a homey vibe and plenty of places to focus in on.
The past few years Mike has certainly kept things fresh debuting plenty of new material all the while crafting a unique live experience that differs from most bands these days. Stage antics, odd time signatures, and the twist-at-every-turn flow come together to create an a unpredictable vibe that resonates with the listener and engages the audience.
Over the course of three plus hours the band played a collection of songs from the past, present, and future by breathing life into the new original “Check Your Pepper”. In the end, the show made for a memorable night and a perfect way to start the Holidays. Check out my gallery from the show below…
