Remember Wolfgang’s Vault? The ever-popular concert merchandise and streaming site is fighting back after being sued this past December. The site has filed a counterclaim against two major record labels, Sony BMG and Warner Music Group. In the suit, the Vault’s attorney claims:
Far from being about bootlegging, consumer confusion or infringement of any sort, this case is actually a blatant attempt by two of the largest record labels in the world — using artists as a front — to secure new income streams and destroy a legitimate business.
We’ll see how this goes, but no trial date has been set and the Vault’s concert recordings are still streaming away.
