Wilco just released a new track in what seems to be an immediate response to the violence and clashing in Charlottesville, Virginia over the weekend. The track, called “All Lives, You Say?”, is available for download at the band’s Bandcamp page for a charitable contribution. And all proceeds will be going to the Southern Poverty Law Center in memory in the memory of Jeff Tweedy’s father, Robert L. Tweedy who passed away earlier this month.
“My dad was named after a Civil War general, and he voted for Barack Obama twice. He used to say ‘If you know better, you can do better.’ America – we know better. We can do better.” – Jeff Tweedy
Our hearts are with the Tweedy family today as well as the people of Charlottesville, VA.
