HAIM was the musical guest on last night’s Saturday Night Live and brought two new tracks to the Studio 8H performance, “Want You Back” and “Little of Your Love”.
This was the second time the band has played SNL and we can’t imagine it’ll be the last. They’re fitting into an odd niche in music tropes that just doesn’t really exist right now: “cool girl band”. That tune “Want You Back” sounds right out of a 90’s Wilson Philips music video or even an 80’s Bangles “Eternal Flame” type thing. I can’t say I’m a huge fan, but at least they’re putting themselves out there.
