Just last month, Umphrey’s McGee played an epic two-night run in Colorado and recorded the whole thing for an eventual release. They moved quickly on the production and already have pre-order info up along with a nice HD sample of a raging 19-minute version of “Ocean Billy” from the 9/14 Red Rocks show. Read on for the video and how to pre-order on Blu-Ray, DVD or digital download.
The complete shows are available for pre-order individually or in a bundle. Word from their production company, TourGigs, is that packages should start shipping in the next couple of days. Pre-order now.
Show Notes from TourGigs:
(9/14/12) Umphrey’s McGee was back and better than ever for this blowout at the storied Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Playing to a near capacity crowd, UM rose to the occasion and brought the thunder. Shot in stunning HD, these videos encapsulate the essence of the band: raw yet precise, energetic yet focused, relaxed yet tight. Including Radiohead’s “Weird Fishes/Arpeggi,” the band mixed old classics with fresh material for an engaging and raucous show.
(9/15/12) With palpable energy filling the room well before the first note, the intimate Boulder Theater crowd knew they were in for a treat. Never ones to leave anything on the table, Umphrey’s pulled out a set list with a slew of songs that hadn’t seen the light of day in Colorado for years.
Don’t forget to tune in for Umphrey’s McGee’s upcoming Halloween concert, broadcast live, October 31st on AXS TV (Channel 306 on DirecTV.)
