Over the last few weeks Arcade Fire has been busy hyping their highly-anticipated follow-up to The Suburbs by uploading photos to an instagram account that confirmed the album’s title (Reflektor) but included a cryptic message of 9/9/9 which means September 9th @ 9pm. Most believe this timestamp will be the release of the first single (or video) off Reflektor. Today, more fuel was added to the Fire (pun intended), as their official website splashed a :40 second video of the band and what sounds like a new track (sans vocals). Check it out.

@ArcadeFireTube has the news that the band recently played a secret show in Montreal with all new songs and that this Monday (9/9) select Record Stores will have a Reflektor 12″ EP (vinyl) available for purchase. The band will also debut the Reflektor music video, Directed by Anton Corbijn on 9/9 at 9pm according to The Daily Beast. Stores are slowly announcing the release information so check @ArcadeFireTube for updates. Right now, LMB can confirm Amoeba Los Angeles and Amoeba San Francisco will each have copies. Stay tuned!

James Murphy, who helped produce a few tracks for Reflektor said this about the album:
It sounds like Arcade Fire in the way that only Arcade Fire sound like Arcade Fire, you know? It’s really f–king epic. Seriously. I mean, I feel at this point like I’m too close to it to really talk it up and do it justice. You know?
