Vampire Weekend has released official audio of two new tracks off their upcoming Father of the Bride LP.
The two tracks are undoubtably a further progression of this band’s song writing abilities and I’m digging all the extra instrumentation and noises on these tracks. I hear strings, I hear electronics…. and I hear lead singer Ezra Koenig really making some magic here. “This Life” is remarkably catchy, and “Unbearably White” crescendos into something hypnotic and haunting. Dig it.

“This Life” features backing vocals from Danielle Haim and additional guitar from Ezra Koenig’s partner-in-crime on his Beats1 radio show Time Crisis, Jake Longstreth. In keeping with the album’s familial spirit, these newly revealed guest appearances expand the supporting cast Koenig set out to assemble from day one.
