A week or so ago, Umphrey’s McGee played a benefit concert in Dekalb, IL to raise money for the memorial fund setup for the tragedy that occurred back on Feb. 14. Just the other day following up the show, they announced that they were going to be giving away the recording to fans via download and streaming on the Archive. But they follow that right up with a reminder that they’re giving back to the fund whatever proceeds they take away fro the UMLive.net recordings, so download the high quality show with a heavy heart unless you decide to donate yourself.
It’s great to see the band leading by example on this and giving back to a community that always supported their growth as a force in the Midwest music scene. The show sounds fantastic, too.
