Umphrey’s McGee has announced their first-ever shows in Iceland, a three-night run this upcoming March 20-22, 2020 that they’re dubbing Röckjavik! 🤘🏻
The band is setting up shop at the Eldborg Hall in Harpa, “a world-class concert hall with state of the art acoustics, housed within an award-winning glass architectural marvel on the waterfront.” Holy hell this place looks incredible.
The band is also quick to give people ample other reasons to make the trek across the pond and to the land of Björk and Sigur Rós, as “Röckjavik takes place during peak aurora borealis viewing season, so we encourage you to travel out before or after the shows to take advantage of all that the gorgeous Iceland countryside has to offer in and around the capital city.”
Seems like a pretty solid no-brainer if you’re an Umphrey’s McGee fan and always needed a good excuse to book a trip to Iceland. And there will be other acts booked…
And what would a trip to Iceland be without some of our closest friends? Stay tuned for a follow-up announcement of special guests coming your way. If there’s one thing you plan on putting on your 2020 calendar right now, we hope this is it.
Ticketing pre-sale and umVIP on sale will take place Wednesday, May 29th at 10:00 am CT, with a public on sale, Friday, May 31st at 10:00 am CT.
