A few hours ago, Questlove of The Roots confirmed some Phishy news via his twitter account that Trey Anastasio will be joining him and the rest of the Roots with Bob Weir for the HeadCount benefit show tonight at the newly remodeled Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY.
To kickoff our 4 friday residency at @CapitolTheatre (30 mins outside NYC) tonight we welcome Trey Anistasio & Bob Weir & Warren Haynes!

(We’ll forgive Questlove’s spelling of Trey’s last name)
All around busy guy Warren Haynes was also recently added to a lineup that also includes beautiful-temptress-slash-rocker Grace Potter and saxophonist Bobby Keys. We should have seen the all-star additions coming as the Roots drummer posted this tweet hinting at the announcement today:
Wait….what's that @treyanastasio? You wanna "Sit in w/ @TheRoots tomorrow at @CapitolTheatre"? w/ Warren Haynes & Bob Weir too!!? Cool!

Trey Anastasio has actually played with The Roots before, joining them with B.B. King, twelve years ago on a performance of “Rock Me Baby.” The song was used as part of an IMAX film, All Access. (Jambands.com)
Tickets are somehow still available but most likely going fast now that Trey and Warren have been added to the bill. If you are near Port Chester (about 30 minutes from New York City) I’d recommend spending your Friday night at @CapitolTheatre. Trey Anastasio, The Roots, Bob Weir and Warren Haynes? No-brainer.
