Trey Anastasio has been giving the fans some treats this week while the United States is basically on social isolation house arrest, and today he dropped the fourth new song recorded from his home studio this week. The song is called “I Never Needed You Like This Before” and it absolutely rocks. Trey even took a little extra time putting together a proper performance video, as he wrote on social media that he “duck taped” his UE boom and his phone to his closet door.

Trey’s ability to toss together some quick demo parts like the drum beat and the vocal accompaniment really make this song soar. And once again, this was a song co-written by Trey, Tom Marshall and Scott Herman.
