Yesterday was a big day for fans of Phish and My Morning Jacket as Trey Anastasio joined in on the first night of My Morning Jacket’s One Big Holiday celebration down in Cancún.
Phish just finished up their Riviera Maya run and Trey wasn’t ready to leave just yet, so the MMJ boys welcomed him on stage during the encore for covers of Elton John’s “Rocket Man” and The Rolling Stones’ “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” before closing things out with a rippin’ “Mahgeetah” which featured Trey bouncing around the stage head-banging like you’d exactly want to see at an MMJ show.
