Last night in Los Angeles, Trey Anastasio joined the audience in the GRAMMY Museum for a special screening of the Between Me and My Mind documentary and sat down for a few acoustic songs after the film.
Our friends at The Phunion were there and brought back this setlist from the show. I don’t see a hidden joke in there anywhere, so this could be a truly earnest Phunion tweet. V rare.
Joel from Umphrey’s was there.
After spending the day working on music in the studio, got some decent seats for a documentary called Between Me My Mind, a Q & A and short acoustic set from @treyanastasio. Inspiring & heartfelt all the way around. And I learned what the song Free really means. pic.twitter.com/5NU4KJN6tL

Trey was interviewed by a dude named Scott Goldman, who supposedly isn’t a huge fan or deeply entrenched in the scene, which made for an interesting interview.
The big “reveal” during the acoustic set seemed to come from Trey talking about the song “Free” and ideas they had for shooting a music video.
Free is about throwing a partner off a cruise ship

Our friend Aaron Fortin grabbed a clip of Trey cracking himself up during that little affair and telling the story of what they had in mind for the music video. Ridiculous.
