Panda Bear to play Brooklyn, Chicago, POPPED! etc.

Panda Bear has added a set of dates to his calendar for this year. He’s slated to make an appearance at the POPPED! Festival in Philly, as well as shows announced for Chicago, Dallas, Hollywood and now Brooklyn. Update: see below for his latest dates after announcing another show in NYC…

I’m really hoping I can make it to one of these shows because his recent output has taken the Tomboy material up to the next level by featuring producer Sonic Boom in the mix. They recently performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and we posted their video of “You Can Count on Me” right after the show went down; it was a stunning performance…go back and check it out in case you missed it.

At any rate, there’s a good chance he’s got Sonic Boom with him on this run and the shows would be limited in scope as always.

PANDA BEAR will play a limited run of ~~four~~ five US shows this September. The brief run includes the POPPED! Festival in Philadelphia, headlining shows in Chicago and Dallas and an appearance at the legendary Hollywood Bowl alongside TV on the Radio, Arctic Monkeys, Smith Westerns and Warpaint.

PANDA BEAR recently announced that his latest album Tomboy will be released as a special new limited edition 4x LP Box Set, on Oct 31st through Paw Tracks. It will feature the Tomboy album on 2x LPs, the Tomboy single mixes on 1x LP and several Tomboy unreleased instrumentals/acappellas, plus “The Preakness” and a 16-page art booklet. All profits from the sale of this set will go to the American Cancer Society ( http://www.cancer.org/ ). It’s limited to 5000 copies worldwide. Tracklist –
