There’s this tiny part of me that doesn’t actually want to post this, but I wouldn’t be doing any sort of job as an editor if I didn’t remind you to set your watches, text alerts and calendar reminders for the public on-sale for the Phish Fall Tour including the three-night Halloween run in Atlantic City. Sure, I want to better my chances to get tickets now that I’ve been officially rejected by Phish Tickets-by-Mail. And we’ve already made plans for wake-up calls at 6:30am Saturday morning on the West Coast to make sure me and our crew have a chance for the Halloween golden tickets. But we all deserve a fighting chance, so pay attention! Some dates go on sale starting tomorrow, but the Halloween shows are going on sale at 10am EDT Saturday. There, all of us are officially reminded once again. Come hang out with us starting tomorrow morning while we work our mojo to get tickets and best of luck out there, folks…
Also, Broomfield shows will be ticketless and will only allow the credit card holder to gain access to the tickets at the venue entrance. The Phish Tickets Online are not part of that little logistical change, but any of the public and local ticket sales will be meant to get these tickets to fans only. We sort of wish they would do that for most of the shows on the tour, especially Atlantic City.
Finally, if you’re going for tickets you can help support LIVE MUSIC BLOG.com by clicking here to give us “credit” for your ticket purchase through Ticketmaster.com. It’s a modest and tiny kickback and it doesn’t affect your ticket price at all, so we’d appreciate that if you’re a regular reader and want to see the fall tour coverage continue. It helps us pay for veggie burritos and our heady server racks.
Here’s the info from Phish.com…
Tickets for Phish’s 2010 Fall Tour go on sale to the public beginning tomorrow, Friday, September 10th at 10am ET, followed by more public onsales on Saturday, September 11th. For complete ticketing info, please visit www.phish.com/tours.
In an effort to curb scalping and put tickets directly into the hands of fans, we are introducing paperless, non-transferable tickets for ALL Phish tickets sold via TicketHorse.com for their upcoming Broomfield, CO shows. Instead of a paper ticket, you bring the credit card used for your ticket purchase and it will be swiped at the entrance to the venue. Once your ticket purchase is identified, the scanner will print off a Seat Locator as your proof of purchase. Paperless entry does not apply to fans who purchased their tickets via Phish Tickets Online. You will need to bring the tickets that were mailed to you for entry. For more info about paperless tickets, click here.
