The prolific duo of Flying Lotus and Thundercat are back at it again with news today of Thundercat’s new album, Drunk, being set for release on February 24, 2017 on FlyLo’s Brainfeeder label. The first track off the album is a slow jam called “Show You The Way” featuring Michael McDonald (!) and Kenny Loggins (!!). WOAH!
On first listen it’s definitely what you’d expect out of this three-pack of entertainers. We know Thundercat’s repetoire right now is that his funky bass chill vibe, and this picks up right where his last EP left off. Adding some soulful vocals in and giving McDonald and Loggins their own verse was definitely the right choice, too.
