The Who have announced a new set of dates for their Moving On! Tour next year in 2020. The band will be adding eight more shows with their core group plus symphony orchestras, and we still don’t have official confirmation that the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is on the itinerary even though Townshend let it slip early.
The dates will kick off on April 21 in Hollywood, Florida at the Hard Rock Live before heading up to Cincinnati, Ohio’s BB&T Arena two days later. Then the band will stop into Las Vegas and do six shows at Caesars Palace starting May 5 through May 16.
Pretty wild to see that they’re returning to Cincinnati, especially after seeing what went down locally in 1979 and how that tragedy was just commemorated by a local station (which then announced the show). I’m sure those shows will take on some special significance. You can read more about that here via the band’s official site.
The Moving On! Tour will donate $1 from each ticket sold to Teen Cancer America. Check out their current list of tour dates and head here for any tickets as they go on sale. And stay tuned here for that Jazz Fest rumor confirmation.
