The Who was recently forced to cancel a set of shows due to Pete Townshend suffering from an illness hitting his vocal cords, but the good news was that he promised a return to the road early next year and here we are.
The band will be bringing their Moving On! Tour back to the U.S next Spring for just three dates announced so far, but one of the unannounced shows will very likely be a stop at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. The band is playing a set of shows in the UK ahead of it, then will come state side late April.
The first date rescheduled is at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on April 27. Following the show in Dallas, the band will head to Houston to play the Toyota Center on April 30 a few days later. Then the band heads to Denver on May 2.
Jazz Fest is somewhere in and around this, first weekend or second weekend, so keep your plans open for now.
As a reminder, each night will feature The Who’s original members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend joined by their touring band as well as a local orchestra. And FYI, tickets for the original dates will be honored at the new shows. But head here to snatch up new ones.
