The Black Crowes have finally confirmed what the billboards and subway ads have been telling us — they are reuniting for a big tour next year during the summer as they present their classic album, Shake Your Money Maker. And ahead of that, the band is coming back TONIGHT to kick off a few intimate shows, first at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City tonight and then at the Troubadour in Los Angeles this Thursday. According to Rolling Stone who spoke with the Robinson brothers, the pair will have “all-new members that include guitarist Isiah Mitchell of psych-rock band Earthless, veteran session bassist Tim LeFebvre who appeared on David Bowie’s Blackstar and keyboardist Joel Robinow and drummer Ojha of prog/psych-pop group Once and Future Band.”
February 13, 2020 marks the official 30th anniversary of quintuple platinum album Shake Your Money Maker. On November 11, 2019 radio legend Howard Stern, one of The Black Crowes earliest supporters, shocked fans and rock journalists alike by announcing the reunion of Chris and Rich Robinson, who will tour as The Black Crowes once again, playing the iconic record start to finish.
