Taste of Chicago 2007 | Music Lineup Announced
Each summer around the Fourth of July, downtown Chicago comes alive with the Taste of Chicago. If you’ve never attended the ‘Taste,’ it is basically an enormous food orgy, complete with over 70 of Chicago’s finest restaurants serving up their famous cuisine throughout Grant Park. And it’s also a celebration that includes a slew of free concerts hosted at the Petrillo Music Shell in Grant Park (also the site of Lollapalooza).
Well, the City of Chicago has announced the music lineup for this year’s Taste, and although it’s no Lollapalooza, this year’s lineup includes a surprising number of interesting bands, particularly among the opening acts. A few of the bands that caught my eye include: The Black Crowes, Cracker, Cheap Trick, John Mayer, Los Lonely Boys, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, Soul Asylum, and Umphrey’s McGee.
This year’s ‘Taste of Chicago’ runs from June 29 to July 8. Come one, come all…but definitely come hungry!

If you are going, DO NOT MISS Rodrigo y Gabriela. They stole the show at both Coachella and Bonnaroo.

The seems like one of the best line ups we’ve had for the Taste. The Black Crows for free, now thats amazing. The food is always amazing also, but sometimes over priced.
