Trey Anastasio Band has been leaking out a steady stream of new music on this tour, so I thought I’d drop the setlist and find some videos of the debuts to hear how the new stuff sounds. YouTube comments like “Super adult contemporary, but it’s pretty. Thanks for uppin.” don’t leave me with a whole lot of hope that everything is going to be blow me away on first listen, but that’s Trey pushing ahead with new music like he’s always done. I’ll leave any judgement to after I’ve gotten a chance to dig in and listen to some of the new tunes to see what may make the rotation in the setlists of Phish 2012 (light touring year! omfg freaking out!). The next night in Myrtle Beach, Trey busted out a debut called “Land of Nod,” which was confused for a New Mastersounds cover at the time. Trey corrected the small gaffe the following night and sent a message of love to the band.
