Further fest draws in 10,000 fans on Memorial Day weekend [calaverasenterprise.com]
About 10,000 people flocked to Frogtown over the Memorial Day weekend to frolic in the sun and listen to some rock ‘n’ roll.
The Furthur Festival @ Mountain Aire brought back some of the members of the Grateful Dead – now performing as Furthur – who had played here in the late 1980s to much fanfare and public criticism, but the Saturday and Sunday festival drew a much kinder, gentler group of music fans.
There’s a few different versions of the Furthur Festival setlists this weekend given how many sit-ins and cross polinations there were planned and unplanned. Go here for the JamBase version and here for the Hidden Track version. I lifted the below from the PhilZone.org boards.
Looks like an epic weekend for the Dead fans, and I even listened to some Dead this weekend to help celebrate the occasion.
